A Long Island man who went missing has been found.

John Caradonna, 79, who had last been seen in Mount Sinai on Symma Court at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, has been located, the New York State Public Safety Department announced.

Staff from the Bridge and Tunnel Authority located him when he attempted to travel through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, the department said.

A Long Island man has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him.

John Caradonna is a 79-year-old missing vulnerable adult with dementia who may be in need of medical attention, the New York State Public Safety Department said in an alert issued early Sunday evening, Oct. 27.

He was last seen in Mount Sinai on Symma Court at 11:45 a.m. on Sunday. 

He was driving a 2016 white Nissan Rogue with New York registration CYJ-1637. (See second image above.)

He is described as being 5-foot-8, 223 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.  He was wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt, gray sweatpants and white shoes.
